German business, #PoweredbyVestas
This week saw the return to racing at the Tempelhof circuit in Berlin, so we've taken the opportunity to learn how sustainable ambitions are driving our German stakeholders’ businesses.
Germany has been an important market for Vestas for many years, and the race in Berlin has created a great opportunity to engage with some of our German stakeholders along the way. This season has certainly thrown us all a few curveballs, but with the final races all to be held in Berlin’s Tempelhof circuit, we thought we’d take the time to see how a local business and long-term customer is being #PoweredbyVestas.
For the recent delivery of our replica Mercedes-Benz EQ Silver Arrow 01 race car to Vestas’ HQ in Aarhus, we stopped off in the Reußenköge in northern Germany with our customer, Dirkshof.
Situated on farmland reclaimed by a sea defense, self-sustaining Dirkshof’s facilities are ultimately powered by Vestas turbines, so what better way to get ourselves from A to B than to have the fully electric Mercedes-Benz EQC car – used to transport the replica car – charged using energy from Vestas wind turbines?
Discover our journey through the eyes of Dirkshof colleagues, Dirk and Dagmar, who shared their vision for a sustainable future whilst we charged the Mercedes-Benz EQC vehicle.
