In race one, Stoffel started from the front row and stayed there, even leading the E-Prix during the final third. But, just a few minutes from the end of the race as he drove over the Attack Mode activation strips, Stoffel lost a place due to the safety car heading out to deal with an incident involving Audi’s Daniel Abt.

Stoffel kept up the quality in race two, moving up into fourth during the first of two safety car periods. He finished there and was bumped up to third following a penalty for Max Günther and BMW.

Teammate Nyck de Vries finished in sixth in the first race. Due to a mistake on his qualifying lap he had to start from position 23 in the second race. Nyck showed a stellar performance that at one stage saw him rise to sixth on the leaderboard, but unfortunately dropped out of the points after a penalty was applied post-race.

“Wow, what a debut! Finishing third and sixth in our very first race is far more than we expected and a huge reward for the whole team. The race has shown that we have achieved a certain level of consistency for our cars over the last months.”
